A former English Language Teacher, Joy now works in ELT publishing and promotes collaboration within the ESL industry (even with, gasp, competitors!) through her love of conferences! We discuss the impending challenge of enticing qualified teachers back to the classroom after getting “real jobs” because of Covid-19. And we talk about how Language Learning can change the world, one student at a time. We also get a chance to hear Joy use one of our favorite new quotes, “We’re a huggy industry.”
